Re: Charge Hub

A quick look tells me you should just switch to Plugshare.

Re: Can I plug in a solar panel to my Bolt?

If you have the DCFC option, it will take DC, but only thru a charger. There is lots of communication as to voltage and amperage. You can't just plug a panel in. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combined_Charging_System As an electrical engineer, it might just barely be possible to do this with out a ...

Re: I just got my ChargePoint Card,

I am new to all this. So thanks... What kind of plug do I have? CCS Chargepoint's site calls this "DC- Combo" And what do I look for on Chargepoint site regarding charging my Bolt regarding "plug". Check the box saying DC - Combo, and only the CCS capable sites will show up on C...

Re: little 12v battery under hood

Most everything in the car works off the 12V battery....lights, heat, radio, wipers, A/C, computer, etc. Of course the drive motor works off the main battery. There's a lot of discussion about how to check the 12V battery, but it seems that it doesn't give warning when it dies. And when it dies, yo...

Re: Wenatchee to Seattle

Hi all. Anybody driven on one full charge from Wenatchee to Seattle? Or more specifically, from Wenatchee to the Bremerton area. I have not, but I'm wondering why a charge stop isn't in the plans, at least as a contingency? I'd take Rt 2 to Monroe, then 522 to 405 to 5 to the Edmonds ferry, then Ki...

Sorry, base post was a spammer testing access that I thought I had deleted. Spammers will grab sort of random text from someplace and post it to test what happens. Then follow with spam postings.

Re: Problem: Full charge capacity dropping

Did you resolve this? Mine just dropped from 60kWh to 44kWh. The dealer said it was because I'm driving with too much weight and in hot weather (he wants to get rid of me). My advice to any potential Bolt buyers: but a Tesla. Chevy only cares about you up to the point you pay them. Don't confuse Ch...

Re: So are we all going to end up buying our cars after our leases are up?

By 2020 a 2017 Bolt will be akin to a Model T. Given that the 2019 Bolt only has marginal improvements over the 2017, you are expecting miracles to happen in the next year. I would be happy if they pushed up the QC rate on the 2020 Bolt from 55kW to 100+kW and changed nothing else. But I'm not hold...

Re: Bricked

I checked these forums are read a number of postings regarding the 12v low voltage system. Sure enough, I found the 12v battery to be completely dead. Silly me, thinking an electric car would NOT be vulnerable to a dead ICE car battery. This is certainly a design fault or oversight - there is just ...
