Re: The Q4 Numbers are in for GM.

Overall down from last year about 14% for Chevy, but up 78% overall for EV's https://insideevs.com/monthly-plug-in-sales-scorecard/?fbclid=IwAR3QSQ-1TKRvpQq98veoo-gE3WlUPAgzgE8R3Crkc6zWsFMrw6kLtuYvfo0 I think that shows that GM is not as competitive in the EV marketplace as it was several years ago...

Re: Need help with leasing numbers in the bay area

True, but also by mid '19 GM should have two new BEV's launched. (GM, Oct 2017, "within 18 months") My guess is a Buick Enspire and a Chevy Joule? Ah, but did GM specify the market for those new EVs? There has been zero information on them, so they may only be sold in China. That is the r...

Re: DCFC Stations Bakersfield to the Sierra Nevada East Side Coming

Do you have any idea where the EV Connect station will be located in Mojave? You can click on the link paulgipe provide to see mimura's map and then click on the location of any charger to get the address and other details. Mojave: Address: 16200 Sierra Highway Mojave, CA 93501 Qty: 1 DCFC, 1 L2 En...

Re: DCFC Stations Bakersfield to the Sierra Nevada East Side Coming

Yes it is good that these fast chargers are coming. That said, don't hold your breath for them to become operational. The CEC-funded ones seem particularly slow. The award winners for the N-S corridor (101, 5) were announced in early 2016, and Recarco put out a press release that fall about their hi...

Re: No deals right now?

I wouldn't hold my breath for a good lease or purchase deal. The Bolt is very much supply constrained right now - demand is very high in other countries. GM has recently announced (in the last week) that they will increase production at least 20%. DOn't know if those will go to the US or other count...

Might want to check if your tires wear non-uniformly if you keep them inflated at higher than the recommended pressure.

Re: The "Cult" of Tesla

I I had the "nerve" to mention how much I love my new Bolt... How DARE you mention a mere 'compliance car' in any sort of even vaguely positive way related to Tesla, the One True EV company? I'm sure that the Electrek owner and readers would be happy to determine and administer proper pun...

Re: Weirdness - Battery died at 48 kWh (209 miles) - now No Remote Detected

Don't overlook a possible bad 12 volt battery. Everything in the car is controlled by the car's computer which runs off of the 12 volt battery. Use an accurate voltmeter and check the 12 volt battery . It should read at least 12.5 volts. If it reads 12 volts or lower, you have found one possible ca...

That's fantastic! Where are you located, and what dealer is doing this?

Re: Chevy Bolt offer in Bay Area

Hope to buy a Bolt (not premiere) with DC Quick Charger. Local dealership has a deal for $4500 down (excluding fees/lic/tax) and $99 a month for 36 months, 10k / year. I want zero drive off. The calculation he came up with including a teacher discount is: $263 a month plus tax (roughly $23 a month)...
