Re: Daily Driving...125-150 per day

I drive 120 miles round trip on I95 in MD every day. I usually average 32-35 mph, 5+ mi/kWh in the summer 4.2 so far this winter. The kind of mileage you indicate would not a problem. A sort of worst-case scenario was last year when the highs were around 5ºF for a few days. The maximum range was aro...

Re: 2017 Vehicle Credit?

30% Tax Credit for the purchase price and installation (Form 8911). Do you have a reference for the "installation" part? The instructions for the form only refer to "property" which to me wouldn't include installation costs, except maybe wires etc., but what do I know? I'm not a...

Re: EVSE Tax Credit for 2017

You can read the instructions for IRS form 8911. The credit is for "property," which probably doesn't mean installation costs.

Re: Any concerns with never fully charging battery

What about cell balancing. On another forum, a member collected data from their Juicebox EVSE that showed cell balancing happens when hill top reserve is on and the battery reaches its "full" charge. That would be the gentlest way for the battery to get it to balance the cells. can you pl...
