Bolt Mileage

When I bought a Honda Civic Hybrid in 2005, the manufacturer said the car would get up to 50 mpg on the freeway and 45 on city streets. This was a gross inflation of the actual performance, which was about 30 mpg in the city and about 40, max, on the highway. People sued Honda, there was a class-act...

If This Happens To Your Chevy Bolt...

When I turned on the Bolt (2017) this morning, all the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel would not work, I could not check tire pressure. Also, the Lane Keep Assist button on the left side of the steering wheel would not work either. I think it may have had something to do with some ve...

Re: Proxmity Sensor on Rear Bumper

My 2¢: If this is no fault of your own, let the dealer take care of it. If you monkey around with it, and there's a future problem surrounding this that you can't handle, they might be happy to reject a warranty claim. I completely understand wanting to fix minor things that you are capable of doin...

Proxmity Sensor on Rear Bumper

Hi! The rear bumper of the Bolt has 3 proximity sensors, each sensor is surrounded by a plastic seal. One of the seals has come loose, I still have it and am wondering what kind of glue I can use to secure it. It pops into the edge of the round sensor, but needs some kind of adhesive to be secure. I...

Re: Battery Charge Capacity

For over a year I've been charging the 2017 Bolt in the garage using a level 2 240v charger. After a full charge, the mileage shows (approximately) max = 285 miles, average = 250 miles. The last two full charges using the same charger and settings, the max was only 245 and the average was 220 or le...

WiFi Switch in Settings/WiFi

Hi there!

When I switch off the WiFi switch in Settings/WiFi, I am still able to link to the Bolt's WiFi via my Android phone. I expect that this connection would be severed once I switch WiFi off.

Anyone know anything about this?

Thanks in advance!

Center Rear-View Mirror/Camera in Cabin Gets Very Warm

Has anybody noticed that the rear-view mirror/camera is very warm to the touch on the 2017 Bolt? I drove from Los Angeles to San Francisco yesterday and the day before and noticed that it is quite warm. It is working fine, just a bit high to the touch.

Best,
Jerry

2017 Bolt 8 vs 12 amp charge

Hi there! Happy holidays to all...

I am wondering if I should use the 8 or 12 amp setting when charging. Does one charge quicker? Does one charge the battery more fully than the other?

Thanks!

Re: MyChevrolet App for Android Smart Phone

You may want to check that the MyChevrolet account that the app is trying is still working (from a web browser). Thank you for the suggestion. It's working now, I closed the account and reopened it and that fixed it! Actually, it the problem came back. I logged out and logged back in, but instead o...
