Re: Should i be concerned with battery degradation?

So I assume this sort of range under these conditions is normal. I had hoped it would still be closer to 200 miles for range. But from what I understand this software fix for the battery is temporary so I guess that might change things at some point.

Re: Should i be concerned with battery degradation?

The GOM is just that...a guess-o-meter. Range is estimated (estimated!) based on how the car was previously driven. Your real range depends on battery temp, driving speed, tire pressure, etc. Typically it's lower in winter and higher in summer. What is your average mile/kWh rating over , say, 100 m...

Should i be concerned with battery degradation?

So, I recently bought a 2017 chevy bolt. I forget the miles but its under 30k miles. So i figured it would be gently used being a one owner car and such. I somewhat assumed the original owner got the recall notice and decided to bail ( since the recall was not corrected when i bought it ). I never s...

Re: stock charger says 120V

For my bolt i installed a nema 6-20 outlet, but i ran 10-2 wire ( which can handle 30 amps ) I have a level 2 charger i bought from amazon for 170$ I don't drive a whole lot, maybe 70 miles in a day. The 240 charger at 16 amps recharges about 11 miles in a hour, or 88 miles in 8 hours. Easily more t...

Bolt convenience question

With my 2017 bolt I have started using the mychevy app a bit. I like the remote start function, but honestly find the range or lack of range to be very limiting. I have wifi that the bolt is connected to. However it seems the mychevy app does not utilize wifi for the key fob functions. I assume if I...

Re: New to the Bolt wifi - software questions

If your Circuit Breaker Box has 20A CB's for all the 120V circuits you should be good. The reason for 12A is it's 80% of a 15A circuit. 80% constant duty rule. You can test what is on the garage outlet you use by turning off the CB and see what's all on that circuit. Don't share the car's EVSE with...

Re: New to the Bolt wifi - software questions

.. Charging takes forever but i only have the level 1 charger right now. ..../quote] Just checking,,, Do you know about the 8 Amp or 12 Amp selection when on L1? Check the manual and also look for 'Home Location' related to 12 Amp. Be sure you have an outlet and circuit good for 12 Amps. Yes, i fou...

Re: New to the Bolt wifi - software questions

Ok, i got it figured out the keypass thing was not what i would call intuitive, and the wifi range of the bolt is terrible. My cell phone can use wifi all over the yard and almost into the neighbors driveway, the bolt cant pick up my wifi 60 feet from the AP with a wall between it. I set up a spare ...

New to the Bolt wifi - software questions

I just bought a used 2017 bolt lt. So far i am loving this car. Charging takes forever but i only have the level 1 charger right now. I figure i have a lot of down time right now to charge it up anyway. I have been trying and failing at trying to connect with keypass in the mychevy app, it gets so f...
