Service manual for 2017 Bolt / damage front car

Yesterday a rock (or something big) hit my car while driving down the road. (see pictures below) I checked my insurance, but with a 1500 deductible + an increase in rate it definitely won't be worth using that. So I was wondering, does anyone know a way to obtain the factory service manual for my 20...

Re: WARNING: Recall firmware update can break your Bolt!

In the end, it took about a month totally before my Bolt got repaired. Initially, it was going to take "indefinitely" because they didn't had the part that was supposed to come from Asia. Once I wrote an email to the CEO of General motors I got in contact with someone from management who u...

Re: WARNING: Recall firmware update can break your Bolt!

Yes they gave a loaner, so I'm fine for a while. I just hope that once they have a new battery entering the United States they won't use them all in the factory to produce new Bolts and are able to send me one for my car. (assuming they need to replace the battery)

Re: WARNING: Recall firmware update can break your Bolt!

Finally, I got another update this morning from GM. Since my case has been escalated I was able to talk with a "senior advisor", but this person wasn't even able to tell what part exactly they are waiting on. She said, "I believe it's the battery" when I asked her what part they ...

Re: WARNING: Recall firmware update can break your Bolt!

I think it's a battery module that needs to be replaced. The mechanic who I think was going to work on it had to come back that day to ask the advisor how to put a Bolt in reverse. So it didn't give a good feeling knowing that the person working on it probably never had worked on one before. So it c...

Re: Saw new recall on mychevrolet today

I do not recommend getting this update done. I brought my car to the dealer last week and it completely broke my car. It's not driveable according to the dealer. They say there is nothing they can do since I need a completely new hybrid powertrain control module and it's on back-order. Maybe I was j...

WARNING: Recall firmware update can break your Bolt!

Last week I took my car back for a firmware update at the Dealer. After about 1 day of waiting they let me know my car was broken and needed a whole new module. They said that the update failed and that my car was not driveable at all right now. It's over a week now and the dealer just informed me t...

Re: Software update taking 2 days at dealer (so far)

Just got off the phone with the dealer. They must have done the update incorrectly. He said my car isn't drivable anymore and needs a whole new module, since the update failed. Until then they will give me another car until the new part comes in. So at least I finally know what's going on with my Bo...

Software update taking 2 days at dealer (so far)

I've brought my car to a dealer yesterday morning or getting the Powertrain control module reprogrammed. (According to the letter after this update the Bolt should give additional warning if a low voltage cell condition occurs). But so far the dealer doesn't look like capable of doing this. When I c...

Thanks, I didn't think about the TPMS.
