Re: Attached Garage Air Conditioner

I just bought one of these units (the largest unit they have) to install in my Mom's house the weekend after next. I've read the installation manuals and watched the videos on YouTube, seems pretty straightforward. From somebody who actually just did it, anything you can share that would make my in...

Re: Need help with leasing numbers in the bay area

It makes perfect sense to me - fill your pockets while you can, and stay 'in the ballpark' with the competition. Exactly.....and the reason why I'll be sitting it out until late 18 / early 19, when the desire to upgrade to a longer range EV will be higher, due to expiration of carpool lane access o...

Re: Need help with leasing numbers in the bay area

Yeah, they already flooded Korea with Bolts this year (until their tax break numbers were exceeded), and it shouldn't be too hard to make it to Oct 1st without hitting the limit, but getting to Jan 1, 2019 is going to be a challenge (Volts count in the total as well). So there might be a flood of d...

Re: Need help with leasing numbers in the bay area

I've been working with a number of Chevy dealers here in the SoCal area to try to find a decent lease deal, and so far the best I've found has been in the low 400's with zero down. None of the dealers are really doing any kind of big discounts, and the GM rebates are pretty skimpy as well. Nothing l...

Re: No deals right now?

I second the web site http://ev-vin.blogspot.com/ . It is generally updated weekly. They list various details, including *true* monthly price (not what you pay each month, but what the total of the payments, plus down payment + drive-off fee, etc divided by the # of months on the lease). That allow...

Re: No deals right now?

Is anybody seeing anything better out there? I'd suggest checking EV-vin (http://ev-vin.blogspot.com/). It's a regularly updated list of the best advertised lease deals. Right now it looks like Sierra and Community have the best deals in SoCal. I got mine at Community almost a year ago. Mine was th...

Re: No deals right now?

I wouldn't hold my breath for a good lease or purchase deal. The Bolt is very much supply constrained right now - demand is very high in other countries. GM has recently announced (in the last week) that they will increase production at least 20%. DOn't know if those will go to the US or other coun...

No deals right now?

So, been getting serious about trading my Ford Focus Electric for a new Bolt. This time I want to lease, but I'm not finding any sort of deals out there. The Chevrolet website lists a low mileage lease for $437/mo with $500 down + fees for a base model. A dealer in my area gave me a Costco quote of ...

Re: Misadventures at Anaheim Stadium

There's no need to have a giant lump of acid dipped toxic heavy metals doing a job better suited to a modest capacitor and the pre-existing DC-DC converter, especially when the drivetrain is at risk - And if Chevy is so concerned about being able to boot the 12V system, then put in a + terminal som...
