Re: Wireless CarPlay adapter

This is not for wireless charging.

This device allows my iPhone to connect to Apple Carplay wirelessly, so I can keep the phone in my pocket.

Re: HV battery capacity

I definitely notice an improvement in range on my 2019 over my 2017.

Just anecdotal

Re: News about Bolt Battery Fires

But my sense is that the physical and legal risk only becomes substantial if I turn off "hilltop reserve" and charge above 90%. Or the risk that the software somehow resets itself back to 100% and you’re forced to prove otherwise with evidence reduced to ashes! But that is easy for...

Re: News about Bolt Battery Fires

GM does not want to be liable if you choose to turn hilltop reserve off. So if you purposely do not get the recall update and your Bolt EV bursts into flames and causes property damage and forbid injuries or death, you assumed that risk and you are liable. There foregoing is my informational opinion...

Re: Aftermarket DC fast charge options

I knew it was used: I put 44.640 miles on my leased 2017 Bolt EV and enjoyed every mile! You will miss out on what I loved: Taking long rides to NoCal and to the South and East to a planned stop to observe, enjoy, try a new restaurant and a new DCFC (usually EVGo). My favorite trip was accepting a “...

Re: Aftermarket DC fast charge options

I am sorry to see that you were burned by GM’s lack of foresight to just make the DCFC standard. Plus I have seen very little compassion on this Forum for those in your situation (not realizing it was missing before you purchased your Bolt EV) and my position that it should be standard equipment and...

Re: Aftermarket DC fast charge options

Another victim of GM Marketing that wanted to be able to claim the 2017 Bolt EV could be purchased "for less than $30,000" with Federal and California incentives.

Hence the DCFC had to be "optional" and doing so increased its cost to the other 99% of us by 50-100%!

Re: News about Bolt Battery Fires

And the lawyers get fat and happy. F'king lawyers. Next time one of your neighbors, gets rear-ended by a drunk driver, be sure to convince them that they needn't hire one of those "f'king lawyers!" They will be much better off to negotiate directly with the insurance company! BTW: What do...
