Keyes Chevy ("Keyes, Keyes, Keyes: Keyes on Van Nuys" sung to the tune of the Beach Boys: Barbara Ann! hahahaha) had a super-duper DCFC that I was pretty sure met the advertised claim of 90 miles in 30 minutes. I used it often (fresh baked cookies and coffee in the waiting room) but before...

Re: Decided to Lease a Bolt This Week - What Is Your Opinon of these terms?

Thanks for that update. Both also will still have the $7500 tax credit available, which will definitely help buyers, and *should* help leases prices as well (either through lower starting price or higher residual). Did you mean lower residual? No - I really meant higher residual, which would lower ...

Re: Apple Car Play Navigation

Since I wanted an optional Nav already installed in the car, like the Chevy Volt; I will be a happier camper when Apple CarPlay is wireless!!!

Re: So are we all going to end up buying our cars after our leases are up?

From these forums we learned that the technology is changing so fast that it made sense to lease. Yes, No, Maybe. As long as the BEV in the garage accomplishes the needed transportation chores, does it matter that there's something newer, better, more expensive out there three years later? YES! Of ...

Re: Decided to Lease a Bolt This Week - What Is Your Opinon of these terms?

Bottom line - if a Bolt gets us where we need to go reliably, what does it really matter if a newer, better, more expensive BEV comes along in three years? (Does anyone really believe better and less expensive BEV will go together in the near future? I know I don't. Just ask those who've been on th...

Re: Decided to Lease a Bolt This Week - What Is Your Opinon of these terms?

There is also an option to pay down $2995 and pay $344 /month. All other terms the same I have no opinion on the basic lease deal but the “option” is a foolish approach. Why pre-pay an additional $1,995 (or $55.41 for 36 months) to save $6 per month additional? A better option is to Pre-pay $34,995...

Re: How much will my battery degrade after two years of charging to 100% almost every night?

Next time I will settle the debate by using the My Chevrolet app at the end of the drive to tell me the remaining capacity. Yes, thank you. I already acknowledged my mistake earlier and what I should have done to compute remaining capacity (other than driving until I run out of juice). If the app r...

I described the method in my first post in this thread.

Yes, I recall, but your method requires that I have a comparison measurement to when my car was new, which I never took.

Re: How much will my battery degrade after two years of charging to 100% almost every night?

The $35K Model 3 is projected to have a 50KW battery, so the Bolt is better in that regard. VW, BMW and Mercedes have aggressive plans to introduce models with ~400 mile range next year, but I would probably wait until 2021 for them to work the bugs out. I predict that Tesla will never release a $3...
