Re: Distance from bolt hole on hitch to bumper face

For the Eco Hitch mounted on my 2017 Bolt Premiere the centre of the bolt hole in the receiver looks to be recessed a shade under 4" from the back of the bumper.

Re: Bolt and Outside Temperature

Iam also getting a p0073 fault code for ambient air temperature sensor. Besides affecting the way the air conditioning system runs can a faulty sensor effect my main battery pack cooling? The battery pack has its own internal temperature sensors, but it's anyone's guess as to how the ambient air re...

Re: Winter Tires

Thanks for the note , did you get the tire pressure sensors as well? Yes, I did, along with the tool that you use to allow the car to "learn" the new sensors when you switch tires: https://www.amazon.ca/AUGOCOM-El-50448-Pressure-Activation-Re-learn/dp/B06Y69GGD5/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_107_bs_t_1...

Re: Winter Tires

I bought a second set of OEM wheels and put Michelin X-Ice XI3 tires on them. I had these tires (in a different size) on my previous car, a Prius C, as well. I'm in Vancouver, where we don't get a ton of snow - but I've been pretty happy with the Michelins on those occasions where I go up into the m...

Re: Longer future range?

Newby here. Don't know what y'all think is "long range" But my meter shows 300+ miles on every overnight charge. The displayed range is an estimate based on your recent driving habits. Any Bolt owner get can that kind of range displayed after a charge if they've been driving at constant, ...

Re: Anyone got a creaking sound coming from the rear?

My bump-related creak in the rear was fixed when the dealer lubricated the rubber seal around the hatch area and adjusted the hatch bumper stops.

Re: Should I feel confident buying a used high-mileage Bolt?

In a couple years there will be a lot of regular folks wanting an EV but without the budget to buy new. By 2023 the used BEV market is going to stay hot for a long time, and the value of an ICE car 8+ years old will be cut in half from lack of demand. There won't be anywhere near enough used EVs by...

Re: Rate Chevy Bolt

I give it a 9/10. The only thing I actually want is better sun visor coverage and extension. I've heard the 2019 extends, maybe the dealer can swap them? Yeah, you should be able to swap them with visors from a newer Bolt. I swapped the visors in my 2017 Bolt with extending ones from a Volt and I c...

I'd think that the 8 year / 100K mile battery warranty should give you a fair bit of peace of mind compared to the much more complex Volt powertrain. And the Bolt is a much better driving experience, IMHO.

Re: Clicking Noise From Steering

Some folks have discovered that clicking sounds or "bumps" that you feel while turning the steering wheel are the result of the U-joints in the steering shaft in front of the brake and accelerator pedals bumping into your carpeting or floor mats. Simple and easy to check without having to ...
