Re: leasing

Yeah, since the car is under the normal warranty, it can be serviced at any Chevy dealer. I have read a few reports that some dealers don't sell or service Bolts, but those are the exception.

My 87 year old mother-in-law got in our 2019 LT yesterday. The first thing she said was...I love these seats! To each his or her own....

Sounds like Eric may have contacted GM about this. You can email him and ask what he found out. Check the "about" section of his YouTube channel for his contact info.
Let us know what you find out.

Re: DCFC: Difficult "handshake" to initiate charge

It's a known issue. The high power EVSE's (aka "chargers") are heavy due to insulation and built in cooling to handle all the power and heat generated by that power. Since they are heavy they don't lock well when connecting to your car. EA is aware of this and, I think, is redesigning the ...

Re: Dead Car, Dead 12V Battery

Thanks. Good read. Do you have a link for what you would recommend to buy from Amazon for the lighter socket 12vdc monitor? I want to buy one. :D I saw this one, maybe in this thread or another similar thread. Anyway, I bought it. Seems to work ok but I think you need to keep tabs on it to know whe...

Re: Can I leave my AC on for Dog while shopping?

There's a section in the owner's manual that tells you how to do it. Also several posts on various forums about this.
IIRC, you can leave the A/C on for about 20 minutes. But...if someone walks by, how do they know? Maybe they would call the police or break your window to "save" your dog.

Re: How common is it to charge 300 miles?

I don't know how common it is, but I've seen many pictures on other Bolt forums of exactly what you describe. In my experience, it depends on outside temperature (warm is better), your driving style (slower is better) and how much you use heat or A/C (none is better). I've gotten 5.1-5.2 miles/kWh f...

So how fast did you drive in the slow lane? Any comments on what your mi/kWh were ?

Re: Dead Car, Dead 12V Battery

Can anyone explain what it is about an EV that makes a traditional SLI (starting, lighting, ignition) lead acid battery unsuitable? These types are built for power (ICE starting) and not so much for energy, so reserve capacity and ability to sustain 'hotel loads' (quiescent current drains) is limit...

Re: So, is my Chevy Bolt really an Opel product?

GM has sold "equivalent" cars in Europe for many years under the Opel brand. This is nothing new.
