Re: Black spots on side mirror?

I've seen complaints about this before on Bolt FB groups. I hear a source of the blame for this is spraying glass cleaners onto the mirror instead of into a cloth and wiping with that. Not sure if that's true.

Re: (Generic) news of DCFC in Calif

For those who https://drivethearc.com/ territory (basically between Monterey and Lake Tahoe), they extended their 100% promo ticket offer and apparently have done it (quietly) to CCS users. Previously, that offer was for CHAdeMO users only. I posted about my experience at https://www.chevybolt.org/t...

Re: Wife just vetoed the Bolt due to seats...any new approach

She's willing to consider the Bolt if we can find a suitable modification to the seats, but as-is it's a no-go; and anything tacky that sits on top of the seat is equally out of the question. Chevy obviously CAN make perfectly good ones, like in the Volt. They messed up this one I'm truly sorry to ...

Re: Heated rear seats

My '13 Leaf SV w/premium has rear heated seats. :) Actually, Nissan was included them in US Leafs from model year '12 to '15, then they started screwing with the configs starting w/model year '16. Yes, my '19 Bolt Premier has rear heated seats. https://www.chevrolet.com/electric/bolt-ev/build-and-pr...

Re: Heat On While Fast Charging?

I also try to look up places and directions on my computer before going there. I can still enter the destination on my phone and use it to help guide me there. I definitely don't like the annoyance of having nav running telling me where to go if I know the route. Sometimes, I need to depart from an ...

Re: Heat On While Fast Charging?

Swapping is not a practical option. You obviously do not utilize Apple or Android CarPlay. I do not use either. (I just set the phone to tell me where to go and listen to it, and only look at the screen when parked, before setting out.) Why would you NOT use CarPlay or Android Auto? I'm an iOS guy ...

Re: 2020 Bolt battery

Even if it fit, I wouldn't be surprised if a/some firmware update(s) are required. The discharge curve and some other parameters might be a bit different.

Also, where would you get such a battery? It's not going to be cheap.

free SiriusXM again

For those w/o subscriptions, it's free again thru Dec 3rd, it seems: https://slickdeals.net/f/13586302-psa-s ... -sirius-xm.

My Leaf w/no subscription suddenly has access.

Re: Increasing CarPlay audio volume while keeping notifications volume low?

I don't use WhatsApp, but the next time you hear a notification from it, try turning the volume knob. I've noticed that if I turn the volume knob when navigation apps announce directions, that adjusts the volume of that only. I've used Carplay with my iPhone 8 w/a '18 Hyundai Elantra and '19 Nissan ...

Re: Charge time finish

It seems like the limiter applies to DC FCing. I rarely DC FC but yesterday, I had the limiter set to 90% ahead of time for another reason, DC FC'ed then got interrupted by a phone call. In the middle of the call, charging stopped and I was puzzled whether the car or DC FC stopped it. Couldn't get i...
