Re: Drive the ARC

(thread resurrection) It was only free for CHAdeMO since inception but earlier this year, they quietly added free CCS charging, as well. See posts below. https://www.mychevybolt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=8383&p=35568&hilit=drivethearc#p35568 https://www.mychevybolt.com/forum/viewtop...

Re: Charging at Electrify America

Yes, per https://insideevs.com/news/389891/exclusive-interview-electrify-america-problems-solutions/ don't use the credit card readers and I guess by extension, don't use NFC either. Use the app to start sessions. As for supporting the handle until the plug's locked to the car, it's been known for a...

^^^
You mean miles/kWh? miles/kW makes no sense. The car's instrumentation uses the right units.

A bit more explanation and discussion at https://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic. ... 67#p514567.

Charging rate is measured in kW. Energy and battery capacity are measured in kWh.

Re: Has anyone driven a Bolt S.F. Bay Area to Tahoe or Yosemite yet?

For Tahoe, you can take advantage of free juice from https://drivethearc.com/#sec-locations. As I posted about at https://www.chevybolt.org/threads/calif-dcfc-info-and-or-news.30575/page-17#post-545551, I learned that they extended their free juice to CCS users. Previously (from day 1) it was only f...

Re: Black spots on side mirror?

I've seen complaints about this before on Bolt FB groups. I hear a source of the blame for this is spraying glass cleaners onto the mirror instead of into a cloth and wiping with that. Not sure if that's true.

Re: (Generic) news of DCFC in Calif

For those who https://drivethearc.com/ territory (basically between Monterey and Lake Tahoe), they extended their 100% promo ticket offer and apparently have done it (quietly) to CCS users. Previously, that offer was for CHAdeMO users only. I posted about my experience at https://www.chevybolt.org/t...

Re: Wife just vetoed the Bolt due to seats...any new approach

She's willing to consider the Bolt if we can find a suitable modification to the seats, but as-is it's a no-go; and anything tacky that sits on top of the seat is equally out of the question. Chevy obviously CAN make perfectly good ones, like in the Volt. They messed up this one I'm truly sorry to ...

Re: Heated rear seats

My '13 Leaf SV w/premium has rear heated seats. :) Actually, Nissan was included them in US Leafs from model year '12 to '15, then they started screwing with the configs starting w/model year '16. Yes, my '19 Bolt Premier has rear heated seats. https://www.chevrolet.com/electric/bolt-ev/build-and-pr...

Re: Heat On While Fast Charging?

I also try to look up places and directions on my computer before going there. I can still enter the destination on my phone and use it to help guide me there. I definitely don't like the annoyance of having nav running telling me where to go if I know the route. Sometimes, I need to depart from an ...
