Re: How to make the car follow the charging schedule?

^^^ Thanks! I still have my '13 Leaf SV and through its nav system, the timers are pretty simple albeit a bit limited. The ones on the Bolt look real complicated and I haven't bothered to use them once as I've not needed to charge it at home once yet. I guess I have something to look "forward&q...

Re: So, is my Chevy Bolt really an Opel product?

think Opel is a GM-owned European brand that they put the Bolt under. They call it the Ampera-E or something like that. Yes except the first part is WAS. Yep on what theothertom said. GM sold Opel (aka Vauxhall in the UK) to PSA Groupe. https://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/general-motors/2017/08/...

Re: What "other" BEVs are for sale in Ohio?

Regarding the Frackville, PA guy, I hope he doesn't mind me reposting part of what he wrote. It's accessible via a forum where you can see it all via a free account. It's just that the sub-area isn't open to indexing or viewing w/o being logged in. I was just at my local Chevy dealer that I have bee...

Re: How to set charge limit

US market '19 Bolt now has a charge limiter. You can see a video of it at https://insideevs.com/2019-chevy-bolt-g ... e-updates/.

I own a '19 Bolt Premier and I can attest to it being there and use it.

Hyundai Ioniq electric is/was "special order everywhere", but reported to be almost impossible to get even in California.. Ioniq Electric was for the longest time virtual vaporware and So Cal only. Eventually, it did spread to a bunch of CARB emissions states, but only in the past maybe 6...

60 Minutes piece on EVs in China

Piece was decent but obviously meant for a layperson. Looks like it's available for free at https://www.cbsnews.com/news/electric-cars-chinas-drive-to-dominate-the-industry-60-minutes/. I'm guessing it'll end up behind a CBS paywall after a few weeks. Some interesting pieces included Nio's charging ...

Re: Energy detail, energy added

What new charging options does the 2019 have? Instead of "Hilltop Reserve" it has a slider that lets you choose to charge the battery to anywhere from something like 60% to 100% in, I believe, 10% increments. No, It's actually what looks like 40% to 100% in 5% increments. Skip to 2:00 of ...

Re: Finally! For $249 I have a permanent Nav and no longer have to plug/unplug my iPhone for CarPlay!

Yeah, oddly, the discontinued iPhone SE has shown up multiple times in the past month or two in the Apple clearance store: https://www.macrumors.com/2019/02/19/iphone-se-apple-clearance-site-restock/. I'm an iPhone guy and I have no issue w/two bullet points the OP mentioned. I normally carry at lea...

Re: EVgo DC FC pricing changes coming Feb 12, 2019

Are you suggesting that this "connection fee" was for only EVGo L2 charging and not on their DCFC? That would explain why I never encountered it before I joined, because I never used EVGo for L2. IIRC, the $4.95 connection/session fee to start a DC FC session was for DC FC only and not L2...
