Re: RECALL

.............We were waiting for Hyundai to talk about the LG Energy Solution (LGES) statement on Kona Electric fires for a while, but now InsideEVs has an official explanation for them. According to Hyundai, it was indeed a folded anode tab in the batteries that caused the fires. Remember that the...

Re: Towing behind RV/ regenerative charging

Problem.... tho.... I think the weight / seatbelt sensor needs to feel a person in the seat. . I thought it was only necessary to be in the seat to start the car, not keep it in drive after you get up... As an owner of the EVExtend Power System, I am also interested in an answer to this problem. In...

Re: Where is the charge limit coming from (Bolt/Charger/AC ckt) ?

The Bolt will accept up to 32 amps if the charger will supply it. There is no setting on the car where you (or anyone) can change that. The limit is coming from the charger. I don't see how the charger knows what the "circuit breaker capability" is. There's most likely a setting somewhere...

Re: Drive the ARC

Indeed: https://drivethearc.com/switching-regular-price-operation/. Oh well. Actually, from what I understand, it was free for CHAdeMO for AGES, probably since the beginning but then they said they wanted to charge $ but put that on hold due to COVID-19 then they moved to the variable discounts. The...

Re: Service manual

Yes, it is possible. But if it can help you troubleshoot - why not ?! It's not that unlike other forms of piracy. You're depriving whoever developed the manual from revenues, recovering their costs or possibly making it to breakeven/making a profit. And, you're putting $ in the hands of criminals.

Re: HV battery capacity

2017 to 2019 were allegedly 60 kWh while 2020 got upgraded to 66 kWh (https://www.sae.org/news/2019/12/chevy-tweaks-2020-bolt%E2%80%99s-battery-to-add-range). You can see the bump in EPA range rating via https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Find.do?action=sbsSelect. That said, I've seen the table at http...
