Re: myChevrolet app vehicle status does not update

Although I downloaded and used the myChevrolet app, I found it pretty buggy, so I just went back to using the "On*Star notification" app (I have one on the Android phone and the other on the iPhone). It's not perfect, but it's a ton more reliable than the myChevrolet app - it has many (pro...

Re: Charging in peak when set to off-peak only

There is no need for a second topic on this question. There is already this thread on the same subject : http://www.mychevybolt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7342 But Todd is aware of that - he posted this in the "Ask Chevrolet" thread with the hope that somebody at Chevy might answe...

Re: Initializing Indication

Has anyone be able to get their BoltEV to start after receiving this message? I haven't seen this, but knowing how dependent the car is on software I wouldn't have it towed to the dealer before doing a complete "reset" on the car. You can reboot the car's infotainment system by holding do...

Re: Looking at buying vs leasing - never leased before

Yes, the 80 BEV was always adequate for short commutes in a second car. The thing is, not that many people buy a new car with the intention of using it as that "second" car for short trips only. Yeah, I've never had the luxury of having a car solely for commuting use. Which is why I staye...

Re: Looking at buying vs leasing - never leased before

A few years ago, people were contending that 80 mile class EV's were entirely adequate, Heh. Not too many were claiming that. They were what was available and affordable for us. My 80 mile EV is perfectly adequate for me (as the 2nd family vehicle). In fact, my wife and I "discuss" every ...

Re: DCFC stations at dealerships

Yeah, Chevy has publicly announced that they aren’t interested in supporting charging infrastructure, so you can forget multiple DCFCs at dealerships. It’ll be a rare Chevy dealer that installs one outside, unblocked, available 24/7. But it’s not just Chevy, it’s similar at other brands, promoting ...

Re: 120V Charger Error

All the sockets in my garage pass the simple test (see picture of tester, above) but my EVSE refuses to work. It does (what I believe is called) a "load test", which fails and it does what it is supposed to : refuse to work. I think (I have to get a licensed electrician out) that either : ...

Re: Looking at buying vs leasing - never leased before

Those who bought (rather than leased) a Leaf, Focus, Volt, Rav4 etc etc. are holding the bag with a tremendously depreciated car. Those who leased them turned them in after three years and got a Bolt, Gen2 Volt, etc etc. While true, the flip side of is that the next buyer has the opportunity to buy...

Re: "Full" battery levels dropping daily

And, might I add, not even responding to my original question. I am not talking about longer term degradation of the battery. I am talking about the "full" level being 40-50 miles less on a rather sudden basis. The car is only 6 months old The estimate of range is simply that - an estimat...
