Re: Ultra-Fast-charging just around the corner ???

More powerful DC will be only be useful if the cars can take it. Bolt is supposedly limited to 55 kW? Though some say 80 kW? But that may change for 2019, or 2020? The 2019 Leaf is supposed to accept 100 kW, but maybe that really means 80 kW? No problem with the 3, I’m sure. Other OEMs? Who knows? E...

Re: Hello from ChargePoint!

The stereotypical New Englander is, to put it politely, frugal. And that’s how I promote EVs to them, cheap fuel, occasionally free! Little to no maintenance cost. Various incentives to begin with. But no, even my most free thinking co-workers, friends, and relatives have not given it a shot in the ...

Re: Hello from ChargePoint!

60% of workplace drivers may give that answer on a survey, but 59.9% of them may be lying. We’ve had a 2 plug L2 at work for 5 years now. I love it, especially when I had LEAFs, it was great to leave work fully charged. There’s about 500 cars in the lot every day, and in 5 years, it’s been almost ex...

There’s a couple more reports on the Facebook group of this OP’s problem. Both early builds under the recall. New packs installed, issue resolved.

Yes, please make a full report to the NHSTA as well as GM and let us know what happens. New Technology vehicles present new engineering challenges and we need to resolve problems before anyone is killed or injured. Thanks.

Re: Any Technical problems with using Tesla Supercharters?

Assuming all of the above: Would Tesla want to open up SCs to other brands when so many 3s are rolling, then Ys, pick-ups, etc? SCs are a big marketing advantage. Clogging them up with slower charging brands won’t please Tesla owners. That said, future models of Bolts and other 60 kWh + cars could b...

Re: Do not use EVgo fast chargers. No, seriously. Just don't.

Seeing a few comments on Plugshare that the 30 minute limit isn’t happening anymore. But that could lead to more congestion, so wondering if they’ll restructure fees to limit time on the plug. Would take a while as contracts are yearly. Unless there’s a clause for that.
