Re: Bolt EV powers down while driving, with "Minimum" 15 miles charge remaining

There’s a couple more reports on the Facebook group of this OP’s problem. Both early builds under the recall. New packs installed, issue resolved.

Yes, please make a full report to the NHSTA as well as GM and let us know what happens. New Technology vehicles present new engineering challenges and we need to resolve problems before anyone is killed or injured. Thanks.

Re: Any Technical problems with using Tesla Supercharters?

Assuming all of the above: Would Tesla want to open up SCs to other brands when so many 3s are rolling, then Ys, pick-ups, etc? SCs are a big marketing advantage. Clogging them up with slower charging brands won’t please Tesla owners. That said, future models of Bolts and other 60 kWh + cars could b...

Seeing a few comments on Plugshare that the 30 minute limit isn’t happening anymore. But that could lead to more congestion, so wondering if they’ll restructure fees to limit time on the plug. Would take a while as contracts are yearly. Unless there’s a clause for that.

Re: Cross country trip with my Bolt

Hey Paul, That’s a lot of questions, haha. I’m doing it mostly to see if the infrastructure is ready or not for EV owners. I did look up some of the other non-Tesla cars that have done this and did see that Leaf and one other Bolt owner that did a trip from LA to Philly (had another Volt on the sam...

Re: Tips for Buying a Used EV

If you’re looking at used Leafs, checking the battery with LeafSpy is essential. I wouldn’t rely on a dealer. Checking carfax to see where that Leaf has lived is important too. I’ve seen many used LEAFs in MA that were brought here from the hot southwest.

Sorry to hear that. In many locations, we’re going to be in this pioneer mode for awhile. I’m not familiar with this Canadian system, but the problem wasn’t reported on Plugshare.

Cool. Makes sense as CA has more EVs than we do. That will be the model to follow as EV density picks up in other places. More units, higher power, food courts/convenience stores/lounges.
