Re: Rumors of adaptive cruise control? And more?

Charge slider is overrated. We would never consider it as anything useful. It's a carryover from the Leaf1 days when the rumor was that not charging 100% protects battery longevity. It did not, nor it does today. In fact, one should always start with max fill so as to minimize the depth of discharg...

Re: Upgrade to Heated Steering Wheel

Did you ask anyone if this should work? Not that I know any reason why it shouldn't. I did check my car to see if I could hear a relay used for it, but I could not hear any.

Re: Cost of charging?

I have more confidence in my measurements now and I still have similar results. I will also show results without the house wiring loss: Breaker Box to DC into battery: 87.8% for Bolt L1, 94.1% for Schneider L2. Wall plug to DC into battery: 89.6% for L1, 95.3% for L2 (actually hard wired). For me th...

Re: Ridiculous Process to Replace Key Fob

I knew about programming the new fob yourself by reading the manual while waiting for the car to be delivered. One of the fobs for my LEAF is dead and Nissan's new fob cost about the same and there is no programming it yourself. I am living with one working fob and was assured by my dealer's LEAF me...

I hadn't figured out the visors on my 2019 slide back. Thanks, that will make the tiny visors more useful :D .

Re: Cost of charging?

I think the difference between L1 and L2 is much more the than most people would guess. I am working on doing a comparison study but don't have very accurate numbers yet. One thing I noticed was that the Bolt L1 cable uses 16 gauge wire while my 2013 LEAFs L1 used 12 gauge. I calculated the Chevy L1...

Re: Rumors of adaptive cruise control? And more?

The Target Charge Level feature is something I've been waiting for in an EV. When I heard it had been added to the 2019 I stopped considering the 2018s and even did without a car for a week while waiting to get the 2019 I wanted. This is the first I've heard of ACC. I think the author must be confus...

Re: Better seats for 2019

Now that I have my 2019 Bolt LT, I'm very happy with the seats and suspension. The seats are at least as good as my LEAF and the suspension is a big improvement. I always found the LEAF suspension to be the worst part of the car. I never had a big problem with the light steering on the LEAF but I ha...
