Re: The 14.4.2 software update!!!

Can anyone please comment and let me know if you're settings were erase when you applied your new software update? Should I be grabbing my camera and taking pictures of the settings that I took so long to set up before I complete the update?

Re: Cool new things you found out

I figured out that you can tap in the plastic glove box piston ring back on after replacing the cabin air filter by using a deep socket size 10 mm with a gentle tap of a rubber mallet. The Deep socket will squeeze together the glove box Connection Point without putting pressure on the piston ring th...

Re: 2018 Bolt info from GM

Well, drat. I thought my heated steering wheel automatically worked when I set my car into preconditioning mode. I guess it does not. Sorry for all the confusion. In any case, the more I think about it, my heated steering wheel becomes warm enough in about 20 to 25 seconds. I'm not entirely convince...

Re: Bolt roof blocking garage door opener signal.

Very interesting, I will have to change the light bulb on my garage door opener. It is a CFL which is quite possibly much noisier than the bulb before.

Re: 2018 Bolt info from GM

How is bullet number one different from the 2017 model?

I have an LT trim with comfort and convenience package and that comes with a heated steering wheel, that can be set up as automatic in the Central display so that it turns on on preheat mode.

Re: Update Bolt Firmware. Not recommended.

I decided to go to the dealer for this update. But so far they are terrible. First I called them last week to ask whether I needed an appointment for a firmware update of my Bolt. They told me to it was first come first serve on Saturday. But when I got there Saturday morning they told me I needed ...

Re: Bolt roof blocking garage door opener signal.

Thank you for the recommendation about replacing the battery. I've already tried this and no effect. The signal is consistently blocked when it is attached to the visor and if removed, I can easily open and close the garage door from a large distance.

Bolt roof blocking garage door opener signal.

I'm not sure if others have noticed, but when I attach my garage door opener to the visor of my front seat, I have noticed that somehow the signal is being blocked, possibly by the roof of the bolt material, and so my bolt needs to be almost right at the garage door for the garage door to open when ...

Re: MY18 seats look the same as MY17 seats

If anybody has a chance to drive to a dealer and sit in a 2018 model, would be curious if the seats are more comfortable.

Re: Finally ran a USB cable for iPhone mount with "minimal" visibility

The Piston link for the glove box is an Incredibly cheap connection. I would not be surprised if many people are actually cracking the loop of plastic which connects to the piston. I replaced my cabin filter with a carbon cabin filter and noticed how cheap this was and how easily it could crack. I c...
