Re: Passenger cannot open Trunk

The doors - all 5 of them - unlock automatically as soon as I shift into P. I would not want that to happen in quite a few places where I might park. I don't park in places like that. :) This is why it's nice to have things configurable. I stop/park mainly at my son's school and my home and office ...

Re: Almost hit this morning... collision avoided.

I really want full regen all the time. Like I said I am probably in the minority. I don't know whether we're in the minority or the majority, but my preference is the same as yours. I'd rather just use my foot, and not need to fiddle with the paddle. Simpler is usually better. I suppose GM could of...

Re: Passenger cannot open Trunk

When I shift into P, only the drivers door unlocks. Hit the Unlock, and they all do. Note: the hatch does not Open, just unlocks - you still have to press the button, but don't need the fob. I do seem to recall that there is a setting for this - RYFM. Right you are, it's under Vehicle Personalizati...

Re: Passenger cannot open Trunk

Interesting - on my Bolt the Unlock button on the door does indeed unlock the hatch along with the four doors. I do this when I'm in P, and it works as expected. Are you sure? The doors - all 5 of them - unlock automatically as soon as I shift into P. There is then no need to press Unlock, and if I...

Re: Almost hit this morning... collision avoided.

And in the above situation, getting full regen is waaaaay down on the list of what's important. In an emergency stop, the brake pedal will stop you quicker than regen alone. Saving .01 kWh and hitting something is false economy - even if it is someone else's fault. I think you're missing dan's poin...

Re: Passenger cannot open Trunk

No, the unlock button does not work. Though the Owner's Manual says it will unlock the hatch, in fact it does not. What you need to do is shift the car into P. Then the hatch can be opened. It's just one more example of modern car technology annoying you with overprotective nannying. But a pretty mi...

Re: Orange to Las Vegas Roundtrip: BARELY!

TL:DR; With outside temp at around 104, using A/C and doing 70mph - starting with 100% charge, barely made it to Victorville charging with 3% SOC and 9miles left. Left from Orange with 100% SOC and with a 30 minute charge in Victorville, that took me back over 80%... A 30 minute charge got you from...

Re: Battery died with 35 miles left. Is this normal?

I can't find anything in the manual that says a loaner car comes with the vehicle when it is in for repairs under warranty. A free tow, sure, but no free loaner. But I agree that a loaner should be made available to the OP. p332-333 of the owner's manual Courtesy Rental Vehicle For an overnight war...

Re: Missing Center Backseat Headrest

Thank you Phil0909 for the comment. It turns out that neither I, nor my friends, have ever owned GM vehicles, and have always owned cars and SUVs with head restraints in all seats so it had never occurred to any of us that someone would make a vehicle without a headrest in all seats. Collectively w...
