Re: How often to recharge?

Just curious: is there a way to set the Bolt to not charge at all while plugged in? I'm thinking maybe the time of use settings or something could be set to avoid any charging? In theory you can use off peak charge settings to dictate what hours you're charging is active, you can set this to a time...

Re: Ultra-Fast-charging just around the corner ???

Any chargers installed now will (hopefully) have a usable life of 10 years, if not more. Even 5 years from now I would expect most serious EVs to charge at 100kW or more. So for at least half of the lifetime of the station, the higher power will be utilized. In 2028 when my bolts battery is fading ...

Re: The January Numbers are in.

Looks like the January sales figures for this year have exceeded those for last January (although you have to look in the last column of the spreadsheet to figure this out). The overall growth in EV sales continues. And there's still a few models yet to report numbers, I would expect bolt sales to ...

If I remember correctly from that same inside ev scorecard the tesla 5k a week goal wash pushed to July? It's in the model specific breakdowns.

I am unexcited.

For plug in it's higher then 1% in the USA and higher in most of Europe.

Re: Any concerns with never fully charging battery

You'll here arguing to the contrary but according to all recent testing and study lithium chemistries are typically happiest in the middle of the SoC, so around 50% and un happiest at the top or bottom, so in the lower and upper 20%. It's important to know that just how these batteries are managed i...

Re: Charging in peak thought I told it not to

Or set your off peak times to when know you're not going to be plugged in, like right after you're going to work. All that aside I think the battery will condition weather it's plugged in or not down to about 30% SoC? If that's the case just don't plug it in unless you want it charged or maybe it's ...

Finally! I don't like the way they styled the thing but that's not really the point. I guess it can't look to much like anyone else's truck.

flatten the panels out and jack it up a bit.

Re: Bolt winter performance, an ICE comparison

I have a 95 corolla with nearly 400k km on it, I've been driving to work for the last year read to be crushed into a cube. Short of memerizing the VIN I'm about as ready as I can be. I bought this for 500$ last January and it's a little sad because it's been on of the most reliable, low hassle cars ...
