Re: EVgo DC FC pricing changes coming Feb 12, 2019

I am very aggravated by EA's connection fee, and I don't understand why we should pay a buck just for the privilege of plugging the car in. OK, I'll explain it to you: Credit card fee . Credit Card companies charge businesses for "the privilege" of accepting client payment using their net...

Re: Clipper Creek HC-40 broken?

OK, this sounds really bizarre, but it might be your coffee maker. Not kidding. It could really be interference from any number of other electrical sources .... ( From https://www.chevybolt.org/forum/82-charging-batteries/21905-potential-solution-clipper-creek-keurig-problem.html ) As the owner of b...

Re: Help me understand how regen works

If I remember my high school physics from a few years ago, the generation of electricity when "running a motor backwards" is the opposite of "running the motor forwards". By that, I mean that to accelerate (increase torque) using the motor one increases the current flowing in the...

Re: How much will my battery degrade after two years of charging to 100% almost every night?

This proves that my decision to charge to 100% most every night has been vindicated. No, it means you managed to drive 264.1 miles one day. Nothing more, nothing less. Maybe the exact same drive on a similar day (same route, temp, rain/cler, humidity, wind speed and direction, etc.) when the car wa...

Re: Wireless Charging

1) A random employee of OnStar told you - you spoke to the wrong one, 2) "ChevyCustomerCare" hasn't been participating in this forum for over a year, so your request (if it really is meant for Chevy) is going to fall on deaf ears. Read this : http://www.mychevybolt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?...

Re: Do not use EVgo fast chargers. No, seriously. Just don't.

I would also appreciate some additional detail. When ChargePoint 'forum user' says "all ChargePoint DCFC stations on I-5", does that mean all the stations in the CEC plan, from Yreka in the North (near the Oregon border) down to Santa Clarita in the south? If so, there appear to be 16 new...

start reading through the last few years of posts - the topic(s) has/have been covered before.

Edit: Oh, and since this is NOT AT ALL specific to the Bolt, can this thread be moved out of the Bolt-specific part of the forum? Pretty please?

Re: California Lags in DC Fast-Charging Station Density for Electric Vehicles

Correction - 25kW DC charging is DC Level 1. 50kW DC charging is DC Level 2. You only get to DC Level 3 when you get above 90kW. I find it very misleading to use "Level X" with DC charging, so I never refer to it that way. I just say "DC charging at xxx kW", which is unambiguous...
