Re: Range with A/C

Agree with zoomit's estimation. I'm seeing about 4mi/KWh at 62-64 mph on relatively level roads with minimal wind and 80-90 degree temps (with a/c). With the 60kwh capacity that would give 240 miles. At speeds above 65, and especially above 70, the consumption goes up quite a bit.

Re: Tesla Model 3 - Specs released

There are lots of fully refundable reservations for Tesla Model 3. These are NOT the same as orders. When asked to pay the non-refundable $2500 order deposit we will see how many actually will buy the car. You can rest assured many of those reservations won't convert into actual sales. There are alr...

Re: Tesla Model 3 - Specs released

"Real seats" remain to be determined. Tesla has had some miserable seats. My Model S with the original seats are more uncomfortable, to me, than the ones in my Bolt. These Tesla seats drew lots of complaints. . The improved "Next Generation" Tesla seats, $2500 option, were firm, ...

Re: Tesla Model 3 - Specs released

And be careful with that Bolt Premier price comparison. Your M3 will be black (only) with a black cloth (only) interior and the unattractive base wheels. And the actual Bolt transaction prices are several thousand less than MSRP - that won't be true of any Tesla.

Re: Service Side Detection System

Probably the side cameras, one under each outside mirror, that provide info for blind spot detection, 360 degree "birds eye view" backup camera and the lane keep assist function. If it's a one-time thing I wouldn't worry about it. If reoccurring it probably should be looked at.

Re: Is Chevy investigating seat complaints?

My Bolt was ordered on my dealers initial allocation and arrived about 4 weeks later. Like the poster above, my dealer let me configure mine - but didn't even require a deposit. I actually negotiated the purchase after the car arrived and I was able to drive and examine it. I've had it 3 weeks now w...

Re: Spurious notifications of charging interruption

At a public L2 charge station yesterday I happened to check my app after about 30 minutes - showed "plugged in but not charging", I got no notification of this. Walked out to the charge station and found the car charging fine. This has never happened with my home L2 EVSE. My Tesla app has ...

Re: BOLT SEAT ISSUE - no DATA thread

I've had my Bolt for two weeks now - over 900 mikes on it. The seats are a little narrow and firm but comfortable for me. I've had worse seats in other, sometimes much more expensive, cars. Seat comfort is a personal thing. No seat pleases everyone. Some are OK with Bolt seats. A class action law su...

Ask Chevrolet? Where's Chevrolet?

When was the last time a Chevrolet representative answered a question here? Have they abandoned the forum?

Re: Tax credit question

I hope your example was hypothetical. If you only had half of your tax liability withheld during the year you would owe the additional tax and a penalty for having insufficient contributions during the year. But the good news is the $7500 tax credit applies to your total tax liability. Not just the...
