Re: Need help with leasing numbers in the bay area

Seems a little high. I leased a fully loaded Premier from Dublin Chevrolet for $399/mo including taxes for 36 months and 45k miles. Drive-off was $1,800 (compared to your $6,400). Figuring (roughly) that $5400 of your down payment reduces the monthly payment by $150, it seems kind of a high lease c...

Re: Level 1 Charging With A Generator

From pg 246 of the owners manual: Do not use portable or stationary backup generating equipment to charge the vehicle. This may cause damage to the vehicle's charging system. Only charge the vehicle from utility supplied power. Similar language is included in virtually every owners manual I have see...

Re: Air Conditioning

The guess-o-meter looks at recent history to predict range. Don't expect an instant adjustment when you turn on A/C.

Re: Level 2 240 EVSE that charged a Volt will not charge a Bolt

Just to be clear, the charger is built into the car. This is a case where it is not semantics as it is possible the Bolt charger is indeed faulty and when relaying symptoms to the dealer and/or EVSE manufacturer it is important to differentiate. You also state that the 30 A (7.2 kW) EVSE is installe...

Re: Amazon Package Delivery To Your Bolt

Amazon has warehouses in multiple locations, so many times orders will come in multiple packages. "Fulfillment by Amazon" means they store the items in their facilities and bill/pick/pack/ship for the vendor. Only items shipped via Amazons own shipping company will be eligible for in car d...

Re: "High Voltage Charging System" message after repair

Does anyone actually know WHY this message appears, and HOW it is reset ?? It comes up because there is a problem with the charging system. It is "reset" by fixing the problem. Not really any different than a "Bulb out" or "Low Tire Pressure" warning - correct the issu...

Re: "Full" battery levels dropping daily

All very interesting. So should I charge it to full once before a long trip, or is just-in-time charging good enough? Specifically, here's my situation. What do you recommend? I charge to 90% (full, but with hilltop reserve) once a week, on Friday. That gets me through the weekend usually. Next wee...

Re: How about the MAXGREEN charger??

Don't you really mean a 240v adapter cable for the 120v charger that comes with the car? I made one, and it charges just about double the miles in the same time connected.... Been using it over a year. Only thing, you might notice, you are able just using 120v, you have an option of 8Amps or 12amps...

Re: JDapter (trademark) Tesla Charging for all

I like this but I don’t need this. Where are there 240 VAC Tesla Chargers in public? I have never looked since they have never been of any use to me. Be careful, some are 277 VAC which Tesla cars can accept. Chevy cars, including the Bolt have a 264 VAC upper limit. They will refuse to charge if hi...
