Re: MyLink App requires onstar?

how long have you had the car? Was it working before and stopped? If it never worked, have you established an account and added the vehicle, dealer should have helped you with this during delivery. Occasionally there have been reports of it not working at the end of your OnStar trial period, if that...

Re: MyLink App requires onstar?

No, the app works without an OnStar subscription plan. Remote start (precondition) lock, unlock, tire pressure, charging status, etc...

Re: Cheap Ebay Chargers 32/40 amp

OK then...

I would take the excellent advice that SparkE gave you and consider using the factory Bolt EVSE (comes with car) and the cars departure based charging feature. Problem solved for very little $$...

Re: Cheap Ebay Chargers 32/40 amp

I am getting my Bolt in a couple of weeks and am down for any solution that lets me use delayed charging and is portable when need be. When you say "use delayed charging" you understand that you can set the Bolt for departure based charging, and nothing special is required of the EVSE?

Low cost Level 2 option - Powercharge Energy

Recently came across a nice looking new Level 2 32A, sold by a reputable dealer, that I thought I would share. I have no personal experience with this unit but if it was available when I was looking last year for this price ($400) I would have likely selected it... http://www.evchargesolutions.com/P...

Re: Need help with leasing numbers in the bay area

In early 2019 there will also be a bunch more competition for the Bolt, with the extended range Leaf and the Hyundai Kona. Right now Chevy has the >200 mile affordable EV market to themselves, but that's going to change here soon. True, but also by mid '19 GM should have two new BEV's launched. (GM...

It is also possible that GM is restricting supply to delay the 200K trigger for the sunset of the Federal Tax Credit.

My money is on this, ship more Bolts worldwide rather than domestically, ramp up supply of 2019s, delay loss of Ferderal Tax credit

Re: Finding a Knowledgeable Dealer

I think it is luck and experience, experience = sales volume, and the Bolt is a low volume vehicle. When GM launched the Volt they had a "red carpet" service center that coordinated all issues to make sure the lack of field experience with the PHEV did not negatively impact the customer ex...

Re: Bolt keeps forgetting charge rate limit setting

Thanks very much for the suggestion! I found that the home location had been deleted by the firmware update. I was able to set home location in the location based charging submenu on the energy settings screen. I believe the problem may be resolved. Glad to hear that likely resolved it for you! Yes...
