Is it worth it for 1k .. and has anyone else been offered it.. or taken it?

If the dealer is pushing it, it isn't worth it.

Re: Too much regen in D mode

I have zero interest in the added complexity of a "coast mode" I rarely use the brake pedal and can accelerate, coast and slow down exactly like I want to using just the rightmost pedal and have instant responsiveness (faster/slower) without any complexities like switching in/out of a coas...

Re: DC fast charger

Your wife calls from her sisters home 270 miles away and needs you to come immediately because of a family emergency, but you got a great price on the Bolt EV without a DCFC input and your wife drove the gas vehicle! Which rental agency do you call for the rental vehicle? It CANNOT be added later! ...

Re: Not ready for prime time!

All that the Bolt needs to make the trip to Vegas from Los Angeles more easily doable is a DC fast charging station in Barstow or Baker. Preferably both. A fast charge station in Barstow is great. Just hope nobody else is using it or it is down. Telsa has LOTS of Superchargers along the route to Ve...

Leasing discussion ("what % of people lease")

90% of EVs are leases. That seems awfully high to me - do you have a source for that? This source suggests a slightly lower number https://www.cnbc.com/2015/10/17/ric-cars.html Excluding Tesla, lease penetration in the EV market is 75 percent in 2015 (it was above 80 percent in 2013 and 2014). In 2...

Re: How Much I Paid for My Bolt

Last weekend I got a Premier, in Orange, with DCFC, and both options packages. MSRP was $43,905. 3 year lease, 10k miles/ year. Opted for a one pay lease of $8931, plus $595 acquisition fee, plus taxes. Total out the door, all in, single payment of $10,311. I leased from Geoffrey Mallard at Nissani...

Re: How many miles have you logged so far.

Regular in town driving got 482 km on a charge...went into conservation mode. Just so you know: sure long distance covered on a single charge gives you bragging rights. But it is what will eventually kill your battery. We've been at this (EVs) since 2011 Leaf 1, and after all these years I have fin...

Re: Palm Springs to Phoenix

Total miles driven on our 3 day R/T to Phoenix, 849. Return required 90 minutes at an evgo fast charger at Arrowhead mall to get us to 91% then a drive to the Verrado Coffee Company where we were going to top up with a two hour L2 charge The coffee shop closes at 6pm so we had a choice of sitting in...

Palm Springs to Phoenix

Driving from Palm Springs to Phoenix means you get to experience the joy of passing 3 separate Tesla Supercharger stations while hoping you can do the 220+ freeway miles between the two closest L2 charging stations. I started off fully charged and with the advantage of living only 7 miles west of th...
