Re: Unfortunately Bolt is still a compliance car from GM

Just because this is a Bolt forum, some of you are getting all defensive for all the wrong reasons, and missing the point, missing the big picture. It's about global warming, not so much which car or which company or which personality. FYI, I plan to lease a Bolt after my current EV lease runs out -...

Re: Teaser Ad for Bolt at Tracy Chevrolet

I looked up the Tracy car when it was still available in their on line inventory, and it was a basic LT with DCFC. It looked like a pretty good deal to me, but that particular car is no longer available and I haven't seen a new ad. Current best deal that I've seen is at Community Chevrolet $169/mo ...

Re: Unfortunately Bolt is still a compliance car from GM

I think Musk is upset that he will run out of credits before anyone else, giving other companies a distinct price advantage in a year or two. Except for their range and price point, the Model 3 and the Bolt are not comparables. The Model 3 will win over BMW and Audi buyers, not the Bolt. But the Bo...

Unfortunately Bolt is still a compliance car from GM

Unfortunately, Bolt's volume will be very limited, still a compliance car ... Last week Tesla's quarterly conference call, Elon Musk talked about the Bolt, he said: "Like, for example, the federal tax credit and then that caps out of the 200,000, the CARB credits, which, because the CARB rules ...

Re: Teaser Ad for Bolt at Tracy Chevrolet

People are now seeing: 3290 + (35 X 219 x 1.09) = $11,645

After California rebate = 11,645 - 2,500 = $9,145 (total cost for 3-years, 10k miles per year)

Re: Rate my deal, please???

Yes, but they are stripped LTs, have 10,000 mile limits, and a huge down payment and doesn't include sales tax. Not apples to apples. Total cost is 3290 + (35 X 219 x 1.09) = 11,644 Minus California's rebate of $2,500 = 11,644 - 2,500 = $9,145 (Total 3-year cost) That's pretty good for an EV that h...

yes, here for 4+ hours and went over every detail, and now will be waiting for the outcome.

Very happy to hear they are taking you seriously!

Was the tech from your local GM dealership? Or was he from GM Detroit?

Please keep us informed.

Re: Bolt self started/moved, and backed into garage wall/cabinet

Here is a strange one, but seriously happened. I was out of town (the only driver of the Bolt) I get a call saying there was a crash in the garage. BOTH keys were out of the vehicle, car self locked and shut down in park from the previous night. Wife heard a crash, goes to the garage and sees that ...

Re: Analyst says 30,000 to 80,000 Chevy Bolt EVs could sell in first full model year

Thanks for those links about LG Chem battery productions. I suspect the demand for the Bolt will be very high because I believe the TCO of the Bolt is already about the same as a Toyota Camry. I haven't done the calculation carefully, but because of its 250-mile range, many Tesla owners don't charge...
