Re: Analyst says 30,000 to 80,000 Chevy Bolt EVs could sell in first full model year

We don't know if LG Chem is production constrained on the number of battery packs that it can supply currently. We know that they are contracted to supply up to 50K this year for GM. At lease price of around $300 per month, with 238-mile range, I think the demand for the Bolt will be huge, much hig...

I test drove the Bolt at Stevens Creek Chevrolet today! The sales person told me they received this demo car about a week ago. Customer's cars will arrive in January 2017. My family have leased 5 electric cars (Leaf, e-Golf, MB ED) and I am really excited to see the Bolt at this moment in time with ...

Re: NorCal (Bay Area) Dealers

300 people on the waiting list for the Bolt at Stevens Creek Chevrolet (near San Jose, CA) I stopped by Stevens Creek Chevrolet yesterday. The sales person told me they should get the car by Christmas. They already have a huge waiting list. I put my name down on what I think is the 15th page of name...

Loss of $9000 per Bolt sold by GM. Article at Bloomberg: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-11-30/gm-s-ready-to-lose-9-000-a-pop-and-chase-the-electric-car-boom And regarding ZEV credits, the following from the article: Here’s how the math works for GM in California. Re: Battery Cost - Bolt EV is $145 / kWh

Some predictions put the cost per kWh below $75 by the year 2020, that could really make a range difference in electric vehicles of that generation! 1) I am not sure if I believe LG Chem is at $145 per kWh today (cells) 2) Elon Musk and JB Straubel have said the raw materials necessary to make the ...
