Re: Battery Conditioning Summer

Probably discussed elsewhere but battery conditioning is climate control for the pack, not the discharge from cell balancing. And 90-97 isn't that hot. Oh, make no mistake, I'm positive that with the humidity in Houston that 97 feels like you're gonna die at any second, but the battery doesn't care....

Renting a Bolt in Maine in September?

Going to Portland, Maine mid September, wondering if anyone knows of any resources or tricks to rent a Bolt while I'm there.

I know turo is a thing (but no bolts listed, just an old LEAF that I've rented a few times) and Maven is in Boston. Any other ideas / hacks / tricks?

Cheers,

Re: Misadventures at Anaheim Stadium

All great points, although I'd imagine that the traction battery contactors are of the "normally open" variety so it's the absence of 12v that disconnects the high voltage. So then I wonder about this.. what if the DC-DC converter was actually IN the traction battery module? Or even a mode...

Software 14.5.0 via dealer update. It's an early bolt from December 2016. I checked for OTA updates (Via a wifi) but of course it's nothing.

Re: Misadventures at Anaheim Stadium

The Bolt fell out of neutral the moment the jumper cables were removed. The cables were not long enough to get the Bolt on the truck while connected. Not surprised. What a pain in the ass. I'm surprised the tow drivers don't have a portable jumper rig these days, but maybe procedure ought to be to ...

Re: Hello from ChargePoint!

Changing the topic from a Tesla rant, and speaking of profit, can I hook an OCPP-enabled charger that we already own at work up to Chargepoint? What are the fees? Greenlots and EVConnect will let us, but what about Chargepoint?

Camera view gets stuck to ON even at 40 mph

This strange bug happens now and again - The head unit gets stuck in camera mode?! Even at full speed driving. Can't switch from front to back views, so that ought to be telling as to the nature of the bug. https://youtu.be/vybaRV4KNYw So far I've only noticed it happening when I first start driving...

Yeah same thing in Palm Desert, you have to come back from the duck pond and re-plug it.

Yeah it seems like GM is more interested in putting Applebee's adds up than making their goddamn app work right. Nice job guys.

Re: Bolt EV Service Manual Is Here

Pure solid gold and no doubt worth it! If I end up buying another bolt after my lease is up, I'll be getting the book for sure! Great news!! Does it have any documentation on PIDs so the people with the Bluetooth code readers can read all the interesting data points? Does the manual describe how to ...
