Re: How To: Install upgraded telescopic sun visors

there may be another option - see this thread : http://www.mychevybolt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6177 It shows pics of how to tap 12V off the rear view mirror. you could pop off the cover here and tap int the 12V as well, just run the new wires up into the headliner and fish them over to th...

Re: How To: Install upgraded telescopic sun visors

I try to pull it out, I can see some clips, I disengage them, but the console doesn't get freed, it seems like something is still holding it? Someone has a picture of the console once removed? Are you sure there are not some screws behind the light? (like on Hondas for example) I pulled mine down a...

Re: Location based charging radius

In my experience it's about a 100 yard radius. When you are on the charging screen it shows if you are at your home charger, or away, even if you are not plugged in. You can set the home location as the center of your cluster and then drive around to see where it changes to away. The purpose of the ...

Re: BOLT SEAT ISSUE - no DATA thread

Sorry GM, lost sale. That's maybe a little dramatic at this point. I agree GM has supplied a crappy seat, I think they will revise them, but if you can't wait, fixing the seat takes 15 minutes and a few bucks in materials. If you can't do it yourself any upholstery shop can if you print out the thr...

Plastic clips, if you just pull it down, most won't break, but a few might. Take your time.

Re: How To: Install upgraded telescopic sun visors

There are probably a lot of them that could be made to fit, GM seems to use one supplier for many of their products. I had a rental Opel in France a month or so ago and its visors appeared to be able to modify, but I didn't take them out to be positive. I was happy with the fit on the 2013 Volt Viso...

Ask the dealer to check your COVFEFE too... Maybe they know what it is.

Re: How To: Install upgraded telescopic sun visors

I did not order the parts myself, but the part number for one is shown in my photos. It comes up as a 2016 part (2017 parts don't show up yet on many websites). Based on that I believe the Part numbers are as follows: Sun Visor - Drivers Side Left. w/vanity lamp grey; w/vanity lamp, grey. 23223684 ...

Re: How To: Install upgraded telescopic sun visors

Right, that's just one example. Lots to choose from. Would be great if anyone has the ability of doing a little bit of measuring between the two. I know I'm asking a lot since most folks don't have a gen 1 and Gen 2 volt at their disposal. 2013 Volt sunvisors (subtle beige) are identical to 2017 vo...

Re: More juice for charging phone while using Android Auto

If you get the Y cable mentioned above, and put the adapter tip on it that's precisely what this setup does. The red plug on the cable is for power only, the black is power and data. If you plug both into the cars ports then you should get 2 amps of power. If you plug the red into a fast charger lik...
