Re: Energy detail, energy added

My Bolt battery was half depleted but the Energy Detail said: Energy used since last full charge: 18.67 kWh miles since last charge: 44.0. Since using half the battery would mean at least 30 kWh since the last full charge, this does not seem possible. So it must have reset by accident or it glitche...

Re: Time lapse video charging at up to 55 kW

Right. And I was speaking from experience. Last weekend, that's exactly what happened. My son and I arrived home, very chilly, with 4% battery charge left. I stopped to check out an EA station about 65 miles from home, which is not yet open. If it was, I suspect that $10 would give me the boost I ne...

Re: Time lapse video charging at up to 55 kW

You, too, should all be able to pay through the nose to DCFC at 150A, via an EA station coming soon near you to rip you off !! I’d rather pay $10 and comfortably make it to my destination than hypermile 10MPH under the speed limit with heat off in subzero temps just to make it home with l...

Re: Time lapse video charging at up to 55 kW

I can't wait to experience this for myself. The most I've ever charged at is 125A, although the majority of stations nearby are limited to 100A. A 20-50% improvement would be great! Pretty soon, we are going to look back at 55kW and shake our heads. We thought that was fast? An hour and a half to a ...

Re: Request Battery Heating/conditioning To accelerate fast charge in cold climate

up north , USA & Canada , we cant get fast charge to reach 50kw without 30+minutes battery heating thus take more time and cost $ more : Any member here willing to suggest a software modification to GM so we can get a conditioning button ? I'm not sure this is going to save you any money. Won't...

Re: EVgo DC FC pricing changes coming Feb 12, 2019

With the continued expansion in the number of of charging stations, I've found myself using PlugShare's filter to select the station providers of my liking. This will become more of a factor as time goes on and, at least around here in the SF Bay Area, gone are the days of being desperate for ANY c...

Re: BoBattery failure - How good is the warranty going to be?

I have recently experienced full charges mile Ranges of 261, and most recently 278. Should I be concerned that the battery may be "overcharging" thus impacting expected life of battery ? Nope. You are seeing increasing numbers because you are driving increasingly more efficiently. The car...

Re: "Free" heat in cabin

TIP: Turn off the “heat/cool” button 5 or 6 minutes before reaching your desrination to save energy. You might as well use up that “stored” hot water, and no use parking with a hot water tank, unless you will be parked for only a few minutes. Yes! I do this too. It's probably a minor savings, but i...

Re: Problems, Bugs, Weird Stuff, Glitches, Concerns Here

I cannot imagine sitting in the car at a QC for over two hours. I'm not surprised that Chevy didn't plan for this use case.

Was there really nothing nearby to do while you waited? I think that's the bigger problem. QCs need to be placed where you can do something while your car charges.
