Re: This Stupid Recall Just Broke My Car

I’ve had zero lockups with 14.5. I only rarely use CarPlay. It’s been about 5 weeks. Your problems may be android induced. Of course, if you can replicate them, note exactly how and tell GM by submitting a complaint though Chevrolet.com. That goes right to GM. how can an iOS interoperability proble...

Re: The two latest recalls, A172114410 and N17127150

interesting - i just had 14.5 installed by the dealer and despite checking at least once every 2 days, it keeps telling me my software is up to date, displaying version 14.5.0. maybe the C just means it was an OTA update?

Re: This Stupid Recall Just Broke My Car

i've had 3 versions of the infotainment software on my 2017 bolt, and all of them have locked up or have come up with a black screen from power-on from time to time. as of yet i can't see any pattern but the latest (14.5) does not seem any more prone to lockups/black screen than any prior version. o...

Re: OnStar offered software update

When I started my BoltEV this afternoon, OnStar announced that a software update will be made available to me the next time I shut off the engine. When I shut off the engine OnStar did make this offer. I postponed it for two days to study it. I do not want to lose the ability to play mp4 videos. I ...

Re: Saw new recall on mychevrolet today

i just called my service advisor and gave him my VIN and he said there are no new updates. he then told me the update i had done in late april was campaign #18097 which matches the number on the letter i received. so either the article above is erroneous or chevy released this info to the press befo...

Re: Saw new recall on mychevrolet today

chevy is tripping again... despite having done N172127150 in on 4/25 we got a letter in the mail yesterday saying the car needs a software patch related to battery management and sudden shutdown, which i assume is the same thing. on mychevrolet the recalls have been cleared out though. so some part...

Re: AppleCarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth Issues

Maybe its Chevy's interface, I do not know. I can only say that I tried both a cable that came with a I-Phone 7 and a cable that came with an I-Phone 6, and the 7 does not work. Yes I did try other cables, but they all came with I-Phone 7 phones. There is a difference in the cable, the connector on...

Re: AppleCarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth Issues

One would think this could hopefully be fixed with a software update. The technician said he was going to pass this on to Chevrolet as well. So if you are using a I-phone 7 or higher (Not 100% on above I-Phone 7 because do not have one), just use a USB cable that is designed for a I-Phone 6 or earl...

Re: Disabiling OnStar

Wow, alot of paranoia on here. You guys realize that GM has been using "black boxes" since the 90's, and every car since 2014 is mandated to have one that must record certain parameters, and in many cases also records GPS postion, AUDIO and VIDEO?? If you're concerned enough to remove the...
