Normally, half-inch is about enough. If you go much thicker than 1 inch then you will start to notice deformities in the top of the seat after it's installed.

I agree, no one would complain if listed as sports seats, but I don't think GM's marketing dept is quite that clever.

Agreed, I also installed a piece of high density foam under the drivers cushion. it works very well. If someone figures out how to get into the seat back, I can finish my modifications to insert foam into this area. I expect a tsunami of nationwide owners complaining about the same thing. Same here... got this one too.. have also gotten tons of customer satisfaction surveys, other panel requests, 20 page questionnaires, satisfaction phone calls from GM and their partners, for the last year, yada yada yada..... and no one at GM will fix these blasted front seats so you have to do it y...
