Has anyone thought about or have actually installed a Cargo net in their Bolt? I've noticed that there aren't any hooks in the truck to install one, but was wondering if it was possible to install one.

Thanks!

Those circular markings on the back panels (in this case, the small ones) are where they drill in to and attach the bolts that hold the net in place. Similar to the fairly large circles closer to the seats and bottom where the "false cargo floor" is attached to if you don't already have it installed (I don't, so it's $177 for them to do it afterwards instead of $100 during assembly). They don't just pop out either since it is a single piece of plastic for the whole panel.

Any idea if we'll be able to buy/install the hooks ourselves? I see the circular markings or covers where the hooks normally would be, but can't find any info on cargo nets for the Bolt.

FWIW, I use a collapsible storage box to place loose items in. The fabric on the false floor keeps the box from shifting around.

I've got 2 different versions, one smaller and one larger. I can place 2 of the smaller collapsible crates side by side in the trunk but I usually only use one. I carry the extra one under the false floor in case it's needed.

I got this setup below in my Bolt trunk and am very happy with the results:

Looks pretty good, but did you screw the hook rings into your trunk or is there some kind of cap you can remove?

The hook rings are the same as the factory hooks I have on my other car trunks. They screw into the plastic by hand and get a good bite. I made a tiny-hole to get the screw going for each. They are pretty tough and are not coming out unless I unscrew them.

I am sure if you pull on them REALLY hard they might come out, but your're gonna need to put your back into it to make that happen.

Do you have hooks on the bottom as well to hold the cargo net down? Bit worried about drilling into anything with my car lol, but might give it a shot.

Could you post pictures on where you screwed the hooks in on the side and bottom? I definitely want to install one, but I'm a bit worried about damaging anything electrical that could be hidden.

Thanks!

I posted the pict above, that's my Bolt. You should be able to see just about where I made the holes. Hope it helps.
