Door sill plates

While I know that Chevy has a pair of Chevrolet door sill plates for $75, they appear a bit too small to properly protect the painted sills. Has anyone found something that will provide better coverage?
 
I'll tell you, if I knew what I was paying for beforehand I would not have purchased the sill plates. They are solely ornamental.

Maybe Line-X-ing (or some other branding) them?

The best door sill protection is to not kick the door sills, and they will never get scratched.
