So, few days ago when I turn the car off and open the door to exit, I'd randomly get a message that the remote was left in the car. No today, I went to get into the car to go to lunch and got the message, The Remote can't be detected, place remote in pouch to start. If I put it in the pouch (base of the armrest console storage) the car starts. Have a hard time believing it's the battery as I can lock/unlock/start the car remotely from a long distance. It's worth noting I had the car's SW updated to the latest version last week.

Once I did walk away with the remote in my pocket and heard the double beep horn warning the remote was left in the car.

There's another thread (I don't recall which) on this subject. There is a Chevy bulletin that addresses it. You'll need a receiver replacement probably.
