For those who want more padding in the seat back, someone made a video describing how to do it. The process appears more involved than adding padding in the seat bottom (shown in http://www.mychevybolt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6157 ), though it does not involve irreversible modifications, so that the padding can be removed or replaced with a different thickness using the same procedure.

Note: adding padding to the seat back may move your body forward, changing your head's position relative to the head restraint. If you find the head restraint pushing your head uncomfortably forward, that may help, but if it is not uncomfortable, the extra space between your head and head restraint may make it slightly less effective/safe if you get rear-ended.
