Howdy!

After 3 years with a Fiat 500e in which we never had the rear seatback up (nor carried rear passengers other than a dog) I wanted to see how easy it would be to remove the rear 60/40 seatbacks. On the outboard sides there is a T-shaped slot and I can release the lower outside pivot and slide it to the top and out of the slot but I cannot pull the seatback far enough to the outside to clear the center pivot bracket.

Anyone done this operation or have access to a manual that describes how to remove the rear seatback? Perhaps I just need to pull harder but I admit that the side bolsters with the airbags give me pause about too much man-handling. Speaking of the side bolsters, they seem to have two pull tabs that are just begging to be pulled although gentle tugs seem to do nothing. Another alternative is to unbolt the center pivot bracket which also has the center seat belt buckles.

Thanks for advice!
