I checked my insurance, but with a 1500 deductible + an increase in rate it definitely won't be worth using that.
So I was wondering, does anyone know a way to obtain the factory service manual for my 2017 Bolt? (Or if anyone who has one could look up how to take the bumper off). I'm not an expert in car body repair, but I hope that by taking the bumper off I could at least pop that orange piece back.
I looked at some youtube videos on how to fix cracks/messed up bumpers. I have never done this before, but I guess it's a chance to learn something new. (although I would be very afraid to sand that area and assume I will be able to learn to paint it like a professional would).
Right an hour before this happened I was working on the back bumper (I cut a hole and installed a trailer hitch). So I at least have that experience. I'm assuming the front bumper is attached the same way as the back.
It looks like a new front bumper costs $288.87 and the lower grill $234.40 (https://www.gmpartscenter.net/auto-part ... front-scat) So I guess it might be worth trying to figure out a way to fix this without actually replacing it. But a service manual would be very helpful since I don't want to just unscrew/pull/unplug cables and hope I'm doing the right thing.
