I managed to drive it in Tuesday for 43 miles and we have had for a week now.

I'm also in the Portland area. I had the car delivered with Michelin X-Ice Xi3s installed. I have driven it everyday since the foot of snow fell Wed night.

I have driven it up & down steep, icy hills and through fresh 12" deep snow on the roads. No problem whatsoever. Not even close to being stuck.

Tires make all the difference. All season tires (which are ideal for spring & fall) don't even come close. Watching the news showing similar size and weight FWD cars stuck on nearly flat ground, I would imagine they are all on all season tires and they are just not cutting it.

I also live in the area, but do not have suitable tires. Unfortunately, I have not driven it anywhere in the last 4 days. :(

Yeah, on the advice of Consumer Reports I also bought a pair of Michelin X-Ice XI3's for the drive wheels on my Prius C. I've been very impressed with their performance.

This is a lot of snow for Los Angeles...these days anyway... Drove up the Angeles Crest Highway today to find some sledding....and found it. Had this one for about 4 days now. Drives great.
