My brand new 2018 Bolt EV shows an updated software version of 25.7.0

All posts I see about software seem to show a version 14.x.x

Anyone have any comments about this?

Would appreciate any information.

Thanks

There are different ranges of version numbers for 2017 vs. 2018 Bolts.

When you play music from the thumb drive, does your music stop after the last track of each folder, or does it continue on playing the content of the next folder?

Also: how do you get to that software version screen?

Thanks.

I don't use a thumb drive. I use my iPhone X with CarPlay

To see software version

1. Start on main page of options

2. Select Settings

3. Select Software Information

4. Select Software Update

After checking, your version number is shown.

There's a possibility of a hardware revision difference between the head units. The jump from 14 to 25 seems pretty big. It's entirely possible that the two branches will never merge. I have my car scheduled to go in Monday to get A172114410 and N172127150, I'm currently on the 14.4.2 version. We'll see what happens. Hopefully they won't brick my car. They said they already did three this morning without a hitch, so I'm hopeful.
