galaxy s8+ does not work on 2017 chevy bolt infotainment

I plug in my new Galaxy 8+ and have to go to set up, devices to enter my phone. I can play my music on the Bolt system but cannot get maps to go on the screen. I called Chevy tech support but they could not help me. I then took the car to my local Chevy dealer and they could not get it working either. I actually knew more than they did!! They said the phone was too new. However, when I first plugged it in, I did see the map on the car screen. I have tried another new cord to no avail. Any suggestions? Is this a warranty issue???
