HI,

While driving in L, I began to hear a noise any time I let off on the accelerator. It seemed to come from the right rear area. When pressing the accelerator it went away. It was a scraping sound, but not continuous. Maybe a rattle...I could even imagine static pops. It seemed to go away after five minutes or so. I will be listening intently for it in the future.

My question is, how does the regeneration work. Is it all driven from the electric motor? Is there a pad that a rock could get caught in, a small generator with bearings...? My car is less than a week old and I will already be going to the dealership to pick up a few things. I will tell them about it, but in the meantime, I was curious.

Thanks!

Thanks. I suppose a rock could have gotten caught somewhere. Though I wasn't using my brakes, only pressing and letting off the accelerator. The noise has not come back, so hopefully it was something like that.
