Uncomfortable front seat

I'm loving this car although the drivers seat is very uncomfortable around the hip area. Is anybody else experiencing this.

The plastic seems to be cutting up into the sides of the seat and protruding through the side padding.

It only really hurts when I sit in it

I went to an upholstery shop and they want to charge $400 to change the configuration of the pad and adding more so that it's comfortable, I'm considering doing it.
