OTA Software Update

Thu May 24, 2018 8:59 pm

Received OTA update today. Took about 3 minutes to install. Anyone else get this?
"Update v270. Improves performance of over-the-air radio updates."

Hopefully we'll be getting more OTAs.

Right, sorry I missed your previous post. Yes, looks like it may be an OnStar software update to improve OTA updates downloads. However, looks like the OTAs we'll be getting will be just for Radio software, not controller modules, at least for the near future.

I received this update over the weekend. It appears to have disabled both "Priority Charging" and "Hilltop Reserve" (both of which had been set). But the car retained the timer settings. As a result, I only had about 25% charge at lunchtime, after having been plugged in for 5 hours. Good thing I wasn't counting on having 40% by lunchtime!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, the update resets the charge settings back to the defaults.
So go back into energy settings and customize them to your preferred settings.

Actually, it doesn't reset the timers, only settings like Hilltop Reserve and Priority Charge. What's worse, there was no warning. I only found out when the car didn't charge when I expected it to. I came out to a car with much less charge than I had expected, which could have been a problem if I needed to go somewhere.

Yes, the settings are easy to change back. But I shouldn't have to.
