Hi all,

So I chickened out on my last road trip between Boston and NYC and took my ICE car instead of my Bolt. I've got to make another trip to NYC in a couple of weeks, and I was doing some internet searches for EV charging along I-95. I ran across this article (and many similar from the same press release):

http://www.autonews.com/article/20170418/OEM05/170419826/nissan-evgo-team-up-for-boston-washington-network-of-fast-charge

But, looking on Plug Share and EVgo's own site, I don't see any evidence of this ARC network existing? It was supposed to be in place by last fall, but did it ever happen? I have not been able to find any follow up to the original story on this. Anyone have information?

Wow, that would be incredible. I notice that article was dated exactly a year ago today (4/18/17), and yet nothing seems to have happened. Sadly, this is how EV charging infrastructure seems to go.

The silver lining - the early days of Tesla's Supercharging network were the same. Tesla underestimated the amount of red tape slowing down their progress. But once they got rolling, they really picked up steam. If Nissan and EVGo are serious about this, hopefully we will see similar results here.

So I went and looked for the info I posted for "a guy" who was going to do the trip in order to link it here ... and *you* were the guy! ;)

So, I guess not really necessary, but here it is (places to stop between Boston and NYC) : http://www.mychevybolt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7571&p=29745#p29745

Yes, I was "that guy". ;) After looking at the charging stations and the weather, and all, I just decided not to use the Bolt. But, I'm really anxious to try taking the car on a longer trip like that, so I keep scanning the Internet and checking Plug Share to see if any new stations have opened. I also heard that VW is going to be opening a network for non-Tesla cars at some point in the next year or so.

I thought I'd follow up on this a bit. I saw a few days ago, that Nissan and EvGO have announced that they have "finished" the ARC on I-95

Of course, I find it funny that none of the press releases or any information from Nissan or EVGo on the exact locations of these new chargers. I guess you need to go on PlugShare and see if you notice any new ones?
