2020 Bolt battery

Anyone know if this can also be fitted to the early Bolts e.g. 2017 ?

Even if it fit, I wouldn't be surprised if a/some firmware update(s) are required. The discharge curve and some other parameters might be a bit different.

Also, where would you get such a battery? It's not going to be cheap.

Agree it will certainly be expensive, especially right now so soon after "release". But in a couple of years it could be the "standard" and if my original battery is ever destroyed or otherwise useless it might be an opportunity to get an upgrade.

But at that point I doubt I would install a new battery pack unless it cost 3-4 grand. In just the next two years there will be more new EV choices available, more advanced tech, and more EV's on the used market. Rather than spend $12K to $15K on a newer year battery I think a newer car would ultimately be the better value.
