The REG (Range Estimation Gauge) is based on your load/demand requirements from the last charge.
If you have added luggage, people, (weight) higher speeds during your trip than when you normally
drive around home on a daily basis, the REG will reflect that on the next charge. It will go back to...
You will need to take it to the dealer and have them read the stored DTC's/data in the HVAC control module.
If you're having this type of issue, it should see a fault in the control modules memory.
My Ram Diesel pickup has the same setup. When you power it down, it only goes to mute mode. It's not the same as older radios!

The Bolt's audio/infotainment system is completely new and has nothing to do with any other setup from GM.
It's never been used on any other car GM produces. You can not compare it to anything else, like the Volt or Spark :!:
