I've read the instructions. What part are you referring to?

Do you have a reference for the "installation" part? The instructions for the form only refer to "property" which to me wouldn't include installation costs, except maybe wires etc., but what do I know? I'm not a tax professional.

You can read the instructions for IRS form 8911. The credit is for "property," which probably doesn't mean installation costs.

I think if you are careful, you will find that it goes away at 15 and comes back at 14 mph. It is indeed the pedestrian warning signal. If you are not sure, you can disconnect the pedestrian warning signal machine by the left wheelwell and see if it goes away.
