    2017 Premier Update

A thought on the blind spot detection problem. My 2017 BoltEV Premier passenger (rh) blind spot detection went crazy. Often it would come on for no reason and was driving me crazy. Before I took it to the dealer, I found someone here that told me how to fix it (if yours failed for the same...

    My 2017 Chevy BOLT EV

I had that blind spot intermittent warning about three years ago on my 2017 Bolt, RHS mirror. It was driving me crazy. The dealer I bought the car from is about 40 miles away, so I looked online to see if others had a simple solution. It's easy to fix, and easy to see to problem. Since my...

    Rate Chevy Bolt

I'm going with an 8. The Bolt has me completely satisfied in every aspect except the front seats. I'm under six feet tall, not overweight, but still find the seats almost pinch me into position in the absolute center of the seat. Besides the seats, it is much quicker than most people expect...

Tire Pressure, Miles per kWh & Range ..

I have run my tires on all my cars for years at the maximum pressure listed on the sidewall. That said, I believe mine are inflated to something like 51 psi. I get excellent range with my Bolt, most of the time it's just below to just above 5 miles per kWh.

Where Are The Rear Jack Points?

I did get an S10 jack, the seller marked it as being from a 2000 model. I even went out and jacked the right front of the car up until the tire was about 2" off the ground. If that picture of the jack under...

Where Are The Rear Jack Points?

Ok, I know it must have been discussed somewhere before, but I've checked EVERY thread in the General topics and EVERY thread in the Technical topics of this forum, and since I appear to be blind, I ask, "Where are the jack points on the rear of the Bolt?" I can see the front jack points, but...

Did your dealership try to sell an extended warranty?

The only time my Prius left me stranded was when the Inverter failed. It died and my car rolled to a stop. The engine, which was running perfectly at the time it shut down, died because the inverter signal was gone. The electrical propulsion failed, even though my hybrid battery had 7 bars...

What do you know, it Fits........

That looks hilarious with the boat on top. It seems like it hangs over the length of the car in the front and in the back. Great job!

What do they want to know?

These forum posts really, really need a like button, or choice of a couple versions of buttons, because I couldn't agree more with the entire last sentence you've written!

    rear well modification

Thank you again. I was told an S10 jack would fit, but didn't know if there was a difference in the jack that occurred when the S10 was restyled. Also happy to see it loaded in your car as well. I'm more confident of this working now, before I spend the time, effort and money to do the same...

    rear well modification

sunnyman, I looked at the picture of the foam version and like it a lot. Then I noticed the jack with the rounded contact point. What was that jack made for? This is on my to-do list and I was initially planning to copy your plywood idea, but now.... I probably missed where you mentioned it...

    Spare Tire + Run Flats

Thanks, I'm looking for a jack & spare for my Bolt as well, so I had to ask.

    Spare Tire + Run Flats

I am curious which year S10/Blazer jack you used, from a first or second generation S10? {I am assuming you meant this as the S10 and/or S10 Blazer since I believe they are twins. The question comes to mind because I know the original S10 style from 1982 ran until 1993, was restyled in 1994 (I...

Comparing the Focus Focus Electric to the Chevy Bolt

Haven't been a Bolt owner or forum member very long, but I thought that was an excellent writeup, Focus FFE comparison to the Bolt. I liked the FFE quite a lot when it came out and was hoping they'd up it to (at least include) a 150 mile version. As it turns out, I bought a Bolt and like it...

Cool new things you found out

I found that after shifting into D, shifting into L didn't require pressing the button on the LH side of the shifter. Then I figured out that I could easily shift from D to L to D and back and forth by just pulling the shifter back each time switching modes is desired.
