Agreed. I didn't test originally but wanted to do a sanity check. My attitude is it's at worst 5'ish percent below the advertised value so no indication of excessive degradation. In any event, it's in reasonable line with what others are seeing.
The car takes me everywhere I want to go...
Yes, I did see you article, which was very helpful. That led me to do this test
I suspect if I had driven a little slower or if the weather had been warmer I might have seen 64 kWh too.
I got a 2020 about a year ago, just over 10K miles driven so far. Battery has been gently treated, only above 85% a few times for a few planned trips.
I fully charged the car and took a 210 mile round trip, speeds generally just under 70 except a few times in construction zones or traffic...
Electrify America is best, in my opinion, for travel because they generally have 4, 6, 8, or even more charging positions. Little chance of being unable to charge due to breakdown or someone else being there. The others frequently have only a single CCS position. Plugshare tells you...
I had a somewhat similar "payment declined" problem but it seemed to be related to the fact that it was a brand-new, never before used EA account. On advice of the EA rep, I used their app and had no problem charging along 395. The "tap your phone" option didn't work for me.
For those who have been reluctant to take a challenging trip in a Bolt, our experiences may be reassuring.
My wife and I drove from West Los Angeles (essentially sea level) to Lake Tahoe (6200 feet) and back. Total distance about 950 miles with several 7000 foot plus passes along the way...
We turned in two Volts recently. We did NOT do an advance inspection, just turned them in. They both had worn tires and bad curb rash on the rims. One of the cars had significant scuffs on the bumpers
We replaced the Volts with leased Bolts so GM did not charge the normal lease termination...
I have just leased two Bolts to replace two Volts with expiring leases. I always lease "zero driveaway" so it's easy to compare.
The current lease prices were right around $400 with 12K miles, zero driveaway, fully loaded Premiers. That's only slightly more than a few years back when the...
$2500 dropped to $2000, yes. And additional restrictions...now you can get once only per registered owner. Also price limits on the car, maximum $60K MSRP so Tesla S and X ineligible.
This car replaces a leased Volt. I've got a second Volt coming up for lease return shortly. Let's see...
Premier with DCFC, Infotainment, Awareness 3 ($44K MSRP). 12K miles, zero driveaway, $379 per month including all taxes (35 payments of $379). Applied $1000 GM Buypower balance. I will also get $2000 CVRP
For what it's worth....
I leased a brand new one for much less than anything listed on leasetrader or swapalease. Plus...I don't need to argue with the people trying to get out over the fees to GM Finance (most expect the person getting in to pay the fee) or over the $2500 that they already...
